Under the guidance of the Director of Youth Engagement, this position will primarily focus on supporting and growing two youth engagement programs: Youth Emanu-El (YE) and our Madrichim Program.

Youth Emanu-El (YE) is our Kindergarten-5th grade youth community that connects our youth to Jewish life outside of the classroom. This community aims to create lasting friendships, positive Jewish connections and experiences, and a foundation upon which Jewish identity is built. The experience of Youth Emanu-El honors the unique experience of elementary schoolers and their identity development and formation. Youth Emanu-El programming connects youth to Jewish life by focusing on participants’ curiosities, relationship building, and peer leadership opportunities.

Our Madrichim Program is our premier teen teaching and leadership development program. In this program, students in 7th-12th grades assist around the building on Sunday morning in roles such as: classroom, art, leadership, social justice, office, and music. The Madrichim program pushes teens to be role models, develop professional skills, and connect with the YL+E and teen community in new ways.
